Sometimes, I thought that I want to try my best to help only to find out that I am not even needed. Sometimes, I know that its not worth it doing all those things but still I do that because I am hoping for something that is not going to happen. Sometimes, I just don't know how to help but I just want to help. Sometimes, I thought that I know alot but actually I don't know a single thing. Sometimes, I am but just a fool for trying too hard. I am tired. I am jealous. But I have to keep my feelings to myself. I know that those feelings shouldn't be voiced. I feel like throwing my heart away and not remembering where I threw it to. Many a times, I tried to heed Mr Mok's and many of my friend's advice, but I fall into it again. Its like quick sand. The more you try to get out the more you get trapped.

ALIN - 位置

Today is the official day that school and work starts for many people. But I have no school. Haha... The whole of today was SOOO SUNNNYY! Love it! I went swimming at 3pm after finishing FYP and a little whinnie bit of research for grad trip to taiwan. I wanted to do more for the grad trip research but the sun was too tempting. I had to go for a swim when there is such a good weather. =] Surprising, there were alot of people at Safra today.

After swimming I went to Bugis to get my facial foam and moisturiser. Haha... Its usually available in Watsons but the one in Bedok didn't have anymore stock. Argh... So I travelled all the way to Bugis to get it. Haha... I am using Eucerin and it kinda worked for my skin. But somehow once you stop the acne comes back. My facial foam and moisturiser finished for quite sometime and I just didn't go and buy for a week and damn... those acne are back on my face. Haha... Okie I am darn vain but welll acne are irritating. Haha... So at Bugis, someone approached me and asked for my number. Haha... He gave me a namecard and told me that they are looking for male models. Asked for my height and age. OMG... I am shocked. Me? Cannot be what. Who in the right mind will think I can be a model? Jokes... 1. I am skinny, 2. my skin is in bad condition and 3. I anyhow dress today since I was just going to get something and leave quickly after that. I thought to myself that it must be some fake model company that ask you to go to the studio and then force you to pay money or else you cannot leave the place. But I think I am wrong. The guy was the assistant project coordinator of iModels. Haha... I went to their webbie and found out that iModels is really a model agency and they had provided talents and models for some tv and print ads. Haha... The guy said they will ask me to go for interview. Hopefully I don't get scammed ya? Haha... Time to rest... Damn tired...

I can't fall asleep again... So I am blogging. Haha... A while ago it was still Chu Yi, now its Chu Er. I have alot of things to do but I am just so in the holiday mood that I just feel like retreating to my bed and rot for the whole day listening to songs and singing along. I so have the urge to go singing singing singing singing. Haha... Recently, I have been addicted to this song - 走火入魔 by 阿信 & 丁噹. Haha... Yeah... Its quite nice.



I also like this song... It sounds very lively and it makes you rather happy listening to it. Haha... Enjoy...

Its getting late. Once again, I don't feel like sleeping. Oh wells... I just bought the latest issue of Mens Folio and I came across the Prada Phone KF900 by LG. I just love the chic black minimalistic design. Haha... But oh wells... I think money is even prettier and I would love money more than this Prada Phone II. Anyhows, I found out something really interesting about the Prada Phone II. It comes with an accompanying Bluetooth watch that displays text messags and call information. Coooollllss... Haha...

Chinese New Year is round the corner! Woohoo~ Aren't we all excited? Haha... Okie... Actually there is not much to be excited about for CNY except that you will see lots of pretty decorations at home. My mum is quite enthu about CNY decorations at home. Haha...

I woke up early in the morning to go to the temple with my mum to pay our respects to our ancestors. We have an ancestors board in the temple and we pay the temple annually to have it there. Every chinese festival, my mum will cook a spread and bring it over to the temple to offer it to our ancestors. I haven't been there for quite some time to pay my respects to my ancestors. I miss Ah gong and Uncle. I used to be very close to them but they departed before I moved on to secondary school. I could still remember that I wrote a winning chinese essay for my uncle in secondary two. It was published somewhere. I wonder if its still in those model essays books. Anyhows, whenever I am there, I realized how much I have grown these years. But no matter how much I have aged, I will pray for the same thing in front of the ancestor board.

CNY has never been a joyous occassion for me since young. My relatives are not exactly nice people. And well life is complicated but one thing I always come to realize during CNY when I meet those not exactly nice people is that people can really get so practical that kinship gets really superficial? No need to elaborate on that. But I am happy that my family stays united and we are quite close in a not so close way. If you get what I mean. Haha... Alrighty. Thats all... Stay happy, life gets better. If you are bored think of better things to do, relfect on the things you say, you do and your intentions for doing and saying those things. Most importantly be responsible for what you say and what you do. Be true to yourself.

Yays... Today I went swimming finally. Haha... =]

The menswear Fall 2009 is out. Seems like dull tones like grey, black and brown are still in. Slim cuts are also still the way to go for menswear. I particualrly like Gucci's collection this time. =] It maintains the dull tones on the outside but paired it with loud colourful inners. Let the pictures talk. Notice that the blazers all have narrow shoulders and the pants are all slim fit? Its just so sleek and chic. Ialso noticed one shirt that is similar to the one i bought for CNY. Haha... It's this D&G shirt. Mine is white. It has almost the same details as this shirt. Cools. And I actually thought I wanted to match it with a bow tie like the photo below. But well in Singapore, its just abit weird to wear such things. So I am just wearing the shirt with jeans. Haha...

It 1am plus but I am not sleeping yet. Haha... I had been trying to do fyp and at the same time chat on msn for the past few hours.

I feel that although I am so free this sem I am having lesser time for myself. I hvn't been swimming, I hvn't been working out man. Not feeling very leng chai these days liaoz cos I am shrinking again due to lack of workout. Previously I hit 69kg when I go workout every other day, now I am 65kg. I shall resume my workout plans after CNY and plan my time wisely.

My schedule this week is quite screwed due to CNY. I am conducting make up classes before CNY so that I can get my tuition fees before new year. Haha... Hence, I am teaching tuition from 2.30pm to 7pm later. In fact, I should just take up more students and earn more more more more more money at the expense of crazy screwed up schedules. Haha... Who needs part time jobs right? Everyone's urging me to find a part time job. What's so good about a part time job? Pay is miserable and working hours are fixed and long. Tuition is the best bet when you are damn free like me. Gimme gimme more gimme more~ tuition jobs. Haha...

Talking about my students, they have been competing with each other. Haha... I have to say that competition breeds improvement. Haha... I have two students who stays near each other. Both of them asked me whether the other kid I am teaching is smarter than him. Haha... Its just funny. Both of them are like the same standard. I gave them each a topical maths quiz. Haha... Oh my for winning the other competitor they really did studied for the quiz. Alvin lost to Weiqiang by a marginal 1 mark. He grumbled! Shit how come I lost! My paper is more difficult right? Haha... I am surprised that my tutition kid has turned studious after I took up another kid whom he knows. Now every week they are comparing their homeworks and Alvin grumbles that Weiqiang gets more difficult homework and that he is losing out. Hahaha... OMG... I am surprised! Haha... Kids are just adorable.

Time to sleep and prep for a long day tml.

On Monday, I met Henry for dinner and Chi Bi 2 at E Hub. Haha... It wasn't as nice as part 1 but I thought it was still a fairly interesting movie.

On Tuesday, I went to look for Ivan at Kimage Tampines for a hair cut. My hair is in a mess, thick like grass and since I got some sort of special VIP card which gives me 35% off hair services at Kimage Tampines, I went backs to Kimage. Ivan is still one of the better hair stylists I have come across after trying to go so many places to get my hair cut. Haha... He can layer so very well. And the meticulous way he layer my hair is so similar to the very expensive stylist from Team Salon who gave me a hairstyle that many told me was a very good one that suited me so well some time ago. Haha... Anyways, in Kimage that day, I was officially labelled "Leng Chai" by someone. Haha... Please don't vomit upon reading this lahz... Beauty is the beholder of eyes. Some girl was telling her stylist that I was "Leng Chai" and they kept laughing. Being a cantonese noob, I didn't know what it stands for, so cynical me thought they were laughing at my dressing or what sia... Haha... She is damn funny. When I was leaving, she lamented "Leng Chai go home liaoz!" So puzzled me consulted the expert in Cantonese - Ms Candy Ho and found out that that Leng Chai means handsome guy. Haha... Thanks... I feel flattered. In the evening, I met Eiffel for dinner at Sushi Tei. Haha... Eiffel treated me to dinner. Yays... This is what happens when you meet me during my birthday week and has no present for me. Haha... Chilled out at TCC before we were chased away by the waiter at like 10 plus. Didn't know TCC closes so early. Haha...

On Wednesday, I rotted at home in the afternoon because I need to go to Bedok FCC to take my IPPT at 5pm. I wasn't at all prepared for this IPPT but I passed. Woohoo~ No RT. While I was running my 2.4km, I saw people streaming in for RT. Amongst the big RT group I saw quite a number of NTU people and one of my ex colleague from SCS. I was thinking to myself as I run "If I don't run faster, I will be like them. Damn! I cannot allow myself to be a loser who comes for RT twice a week." Haha... So I sprint the last round although my knees and ankle feels like its breaking soon. Haha... My fitness isn't quite there yet after the stupid BME in dec which caused old injuries to surface again. But nevertheless, no RT is the best brithday present I give myself this year and I promise myself I will never get RT before I turn 35. I must stay fit and get all those money from SAF. Haha... Although its not alot, it is still money. Must get silver next year. Ah Hock! I need more interval trainings from you. Haha...

On Thursday, I was supposed to meet Clara who has just returned from Aussie after completing her Masters. So I wanted to ask her out to 1. catch up and 2. like have a birthday celebration with one of my closer friends in JC. But but but... We didn't meet in the end. Haha... So I tried to look for other people to come out but to no avail, nobody is ever free for me in such situations.

On Friday, had a birthday celebration at Changing Appetites with BAF peeps (Andrew, Jiun Bin, Mindy, Lee Peng, Joanne, Yiling, Jiahui, Tong Tong and Alvin). Thanks peeps for the celebration and the robinsons gift card and the cake and EVERYTHING! =] After lunching at Changing Appetites, we spent some time idling in the arcade and then everyone left for their own programmes. I met up with Mok Mok for dinner in the evening at coffee club. Of course he treated because he never give me present. (some kind of good friend he is lorz.. hahah... just joking~) I had the Beef Dauce. I tink its very nice! Everyone should try it. Haha... Soon after Shan Shan Gong Zhu met up with us and we were supposed to go Timbre for a drink but then unfortunately we couldn't get a place there. Wanted to try ICB but oso got no place because got event there. Darns. We ended up in starbucks drinking coffee and eating cakes. Hahaha...

On Saturday, I met up with Guiying for dinner at Kunishbo. We were so full. Haha... There were snow crabs there. I remembered that when I was young I had snow crab somewhere and I hated it. But then, I tried it again in Kunishbo and it was so bloody yummy. Haha... After dinner, we walked around Esplanade to look for a place to sit down and drink. We saw this band which consists of drum set, bass, keyboard and a chinese flute. It's a weird combi, but they delivered nice pieces. However, I did notice that the keyboard played a few wrong notes and there was one piece he wasn't on tempo. Haha... The chinese flute was brilliant. He had outstanding articulation. He used flutter tonguing for one of the pieces. Cools. Those who plays the flute you will know there is a certain degree of difficulty in executing flutter tonguing. After listening to the band, we went over to One Fullerton and settled down in Over Easy. Its a very nice bar which has couches facing the sea. =]

On Sunday, had a mini celebration at home. Chocolate Rum and Cherry cake from Awfully Chocolate. Delicious. Love it. Haha... Each person gets one and the rest is MINE! Haha... I think Awfully Chocolate is comparable to Choc-a-bloc. Haha... No wonder they sell different flavours, I reckon is to avoid direct competition.

I have been busy slacking around. Haha. So the lack of posts. Okie but still I am considered a frequent blogger. =] I have been spending alot this month mainly due to new year shopping and most importantly spending to satisfy my insatiable hunger. I have been feeling hungry very easily these days maybe its cos of the increased amount of exercise these days. Haha...

Yays! There is finally SUNNN! =]

I love the sun! Today is a damn sunny day. I was supposed to give tuition at 3pm but my tuition kid postponed it to friday because he is going to see the dentist. Haha... Cools. So I went swimming at Safra tampines. I am now roasted. haha... Very red. But I like to be under the sun. Haha...

After swimming, I went to walk around tampines mall. Haha... Cotton On has a new store in tampines mall. Oh my, the shop is packed! They have very cheap stuff. I think Cotton On's cost leadership strategy here in Singapore really works! Over a short span of 1-2years, it has expanded to so many outlets in Singapore. I think its just amazing and its management is just fabulous. The new Cotton On stores have different decos as the predecessors in Wisma and Suntec. The stuff in Cotton On are quite alright, fit is also not bad just that material is not top notch. But for the price, you cannot ask for more lahz. But its really like value for money, especially for girls. Like tank tops at 5bucks... they can just buy ten different colours wear, layer and create wonders to their dressing. After they grow tired of the tank tops, they wouldn't feel very xin tong to throw them away. Haha.. Isn't it great! Haha... I think strategic management should have a case study on Cotton On to depict how a successful cost leadership strategy works. Haha... While I am on business strategy, I think for any business, including online stores, you need a business strategy to be successful. When you are unsure and you fall into the middle of the road ranks, I guess its quite tough for you to make high profits. So if you were to start a business, be sure to ask yourself what is your business strategy and then craft every single aspect of your store according to your strategy. =]

Its a new year and I bet everyone is busy buying new clothes. Recently, I came across two shops which sells very nice stuffs. Before you go on reading, I must declare that I am not promoting these shops and I am not paid for introducing them on my blog. VOL.TA has been around for quite some time and has released two collections. The first collection was sleek yet chic. The second collection which has just been released not long ago maintains the sharp look of the first collection and adds on some youthful elements to its apparels. The second collection is titled "Everbody Wants to be Young". My personal opinion for VOL.TA's collection is that the apparels have outstanding designs of the finest quality and style. I personally love every single thing of VOL.TA from their belts to their bags to their shirts and finally to their bottoms! Everyone should go and take a look.

ARC is brought to us by the owners of Actually and Wooonderland. It carries labels from Japan, Korea and Shanghai, like Eloq, Laundry 202, Vandalist etc. The clothes in ARC are unique and has impeccable designs. It feels a bit Avant Garde to me as the apparels have designs that are far more original than any of those apparels we see in normal shops. Bold details with utmost creativity. Every piece of apparels there is a piece of art. It also carries quite a few brands of jeans. I could only remember Denime. I think now there is a sales for female skinnies at only 50 bucks. Its worth taking a look too. =]

2008 has been a great year with lots of ups and downs but 2009 will be an even better year! Everything in my life rocks... Haha... My friends, my family etc. etc. Wanna thank all of you who have been with me all this while. Kudos to our friendship. 2009 will be an even more fun, more exciting and more happening year for everyone! Cheers! =]
