Yays... Exams ended officially for me at 1115am... Haha... I left the exam hall early. BF214 questions were quite okie. There were some that I don't know how to do, but oh wells, don't know means don't know right? So I just wrote some rubbish and left. I wanted to end my exams as soon as possible! Haha...

Had lunch at the don't know what executive cafe near Can A. Haha.. The service was "darn good". The waitress came and announce the name of the dish she is serving and throw the plate of dish on the table. "-_-

Met CBS for FYP at 3pm. Haha... We are finally moving on to data analysis stage, NO MORE collecting of data. Yays... =] We are moving ON! But that means work for the coming week before I go in for hell.

Had Manhanttan Fish Market for dinner. Its quite nice. The last time I had it was like with DBS people and I thought the mussels at that time was so much nicer than today's. The food deteriorated. Talking about DBS, I miss Yiwen, Limin, and all the other DBS people.

After the dinner we hang around at the arcade and soon after I left for Gotham Penthouse for Yanfen's 21st. Gotham Penthouse is like the english version of Luna. Haha... Its very similar. But Luna is much bigger. Its quite a nice place lahz. But I was very tired already... So I left early together with Candy and Wenqing. Haha...

I took Bus No. 2 home from Central bus stop... The bus needs to pass through Geylang. Omg... I really didn't know that prostitutes solicit on buses! Are there any laws that stipulate the places which prostitutes can solicit buisness? A scantily dressed women with heavy make up came to sit behind me and started talking to me. I was listening to my MP3 and I thought she was probably asking for directions or something like does this bus stops at this place kind of questions... So I took off my ear phones... OMG... Guess what she said to me? Only when heard what she said, I realised she is a prostitute. "-_- I froze... I just ignored her, put on my earphones and treat her as glass. Then she was annoyed by my reaction and she went to sit next to another guy and they alighted at Paya Lebar together. "-_-

I am excited... Really excited... Haha... Exams is going be over tml! Woohoo~ I can't wait... (even though I am not prepared for tml's exams AT ALL). I am so looking forward to the interviews, the BAF chalet, the ktvs with different people. And tml there is gonna be steamboat dinner with BAF peeps and then I am gonna attend Yanfen's 21st at Gotham Penthouse. Yays... I can't wait... But the FYP prof is so disruptive to my after exams plans... He told us to meet him after our exams tommorrow. So we thought okie... Then now he said meet you all at 3!!! So inital plans of going KTV after exams are ruined. Haiz... I still though if we meet him at 1130, we will be able to finish fast fast and go sing after that... Now... Haha...

I realized I got so many clothes in my wardrobe! After exams, I am gonna tidy my clothes, and revamp my wardrobe to prepare for the new year. New additions will include more formal wears, more quirky looking shirts (like the COMME des GARCONS for H&M, hint hint... Candy... one shirt equals one subject registration help for you. Haha... Just joking lahz... ), one nice casual jacket, one high cut sneakers (its kinda IN now although it was once IN a while ago... But I think its still quite IN now... Haha...) Hmmz... Where does the money come from? Hahaa... Okie no money... so this are but wish lists... Hahaha... Alright time to sleep. I pray for the best for tml's exams...

Finally AA301 horror ended today at 1130. Woohoo... It was an open book exam but I didn't open book at all. The paper was alright but I made many mistakes which I realized only after the exams. "-_- Nevertheless, its over and I didn't have the I am in deep shit feeling like AA202. So I guess it will end up with at least a B. Haha... I am left with one paper - BF214. Another horror cos I haven't studied it. Its on friday somemore. Why never study after exams today? I was feeling sick the whole day. I couldn't concentrate. I visit the toilet every 15 minutes. Sucks. Nausea. Hate it. I hope I sleep and wake up without all these symptoms tomorrow, so that I can concentrate and comb through all 12 seminars.

Shortlisted for Deloitte and KMPG interview. Haha... No PWC and EY! So some bastard (ya its the same one I always talk about here), came and talk to me "So which one chose you?" Then I told him. Haha... I know you are zai and you got good job but don't put people down like that. Haha... What can I say? Haha... Sometimes, I feel that do I have the right to even feel insulted when actually its the truth that my resume sucks and so explains the reason for some companies not choosing me for interview. But well, its the truth but still its uncomfortable to hear things the bastard says. Its just... ... ... Oh well... Haha...

Most productive day since wednesday. I studied 4 chapters from the PHBP textbook. Haha... Okie thats considered little as compared to others who can finish the book in one day. We have three textbooks to study for AA301. Haha... I am not gonna study one... Hopefully nothing comes out from there. One more chapter for the other textbook, and 4 more chapters from PHBP. Haha... Seriously hate to read. How does people make reading their favourite pastime? And some loony placed a "forward contract" with me to sell him my PHBP book at a stipulated price to be delivered on 1Dec. Hahaha... Cos why? He wants to study it during holidays. OMG! I dunno to call it hardworking, zealous or nuts.

I am feeling bored when I need to study... Haha... Box myself... Study! Study!!! STUDY!!!! My brain is malfunctioning. Haha... I want to grumble again... Haha... Cos of the reservice I am rid of a chance to earn money during dec. Linda offerred me a job for dec holidays but I cannot work cos of the reservice. Haiz... I should just break my leg and downgrade. Haha... Then I will be free from all those cumbersome reservice that foils chances to earn money and disrupt my lifestyle. Haha... Disrupt my lifestyle cos I need to cut my hair. I could still remember when I was working in DBS, Don couldn't bear to part with his nice brown jappy styled hair and he got shaved when he went backs for reservice. Haha... So I better not try Don's stunt. Ya ya... I am vain... Haha... Cos people told me that I look like the character in MAD board game when I have short hair. Haha... So ya... I don't want to look mad... I have been trying hard to study for BF214 but I just couldn't focus. Moreover, some arsehole keep on irritating me with the things he say. Make me wanna scold "F***K OFF!"

Nowadays, as we grow older, I start to realize that many people's lifes start to revolve round materialism from choosing a partner for a relationship to decisions on a day-to-day basis. I used to be like that but of late I feel that life is just life, it is more worthwhile for one to gain intangible stuffs like love, friendships and etc.

Nevertheless, many do not think so. An example is like what Mr Mok told me about this common ger friend that we know - She asked if someone has a car before she goes out with him. Then I was thinking its might be quite true. Gers consider this two scenarios and will you have the same response?

1. A guy drives a car to come and fetch you, your response will be "Ohhh... so sweet of him..."
2. If the guy takes a bus to fetch you to go take bus again, your response will be "You need not do that, I can take bus myself."

As always my blog entries are cynical, emo and sometimes offending to some people who could have already bear grudges with me but try not to be bad to me when they face me. Today was the OMG SO DIFFICULT AA306 paper. Haha... Its super easy can?!! Whoever tells me that its difficult. Haha... Its really easy until... I got time to even do the consolidation entries a second time. But I did make careless mistakes for the hedging question. Haha... Forgot to test hedge effectiveness. Qualitative questions were also straight forward. Okie... I better not be haolian, later karma. Time to rest for an afternoon before I embark on an endless journey to study for the two subjects that I have never opened the textbooks since the beginning of this semester. Haha... May the force be with me for the next 5 days...

Enuff about school. Today I saw a person carrying a Jack Spade tote. Cools. Its very nice. But it doesn't suit my style and if I were to carry it I will look gay x 10. Haha... I am too skinny to pull off the tote look which will only look nice on very big sized guys. Haha... I realized that although Singapore is experiencing a technical recession, people have larger spending power still. I see increasingly more guys carrying the lastest designs of LV, Jack Spade, Agnes B and other branded manbags which easily cost like a bomb for students. Weirds... Where does their money come from??? Haha... Okie nap time. =]

Call me a slacker! Today I never study much again. "-_- I tried to read 4 academic journals about M&As then I went to see the past year papers and then there were very few questions about M&As. Most of it is on SPEs which is like the other 2 journals. Grumbles... I should have read the 2 first which has more weightage. I was perpetually very tired today... Napped for a few hours still tired. Then I watched TV whole night. Someone give me some stress to make me study. I don't know why I am so relaxed. Perhaps its because I have been thinking about something...Oh wells... Haha... Have been looking like I lost alot of weight like a narrower face and a narrower shoulder and smaller arms but I actually weigh the same, in fact heavier. "-_- Haiz... ICT is coming soon. So sianz... I have only one week holidays before ICT starts. It stretches for two weeks and there are several exercises. Having not done any combat exercises for long time, I wonder if my combat fitness is still there to do all those quick attacks and hasty defense. "-_- Its really quite tiring with our extra equipments... Okie nice songs. =]

I am here to blog again. Haha... People exam period busy studying and disappear even from msn but here I am slacking. I just can't get myself to do anything after my strategic management exams this morning. It wasn't a very bad paper that I felt bad enough to lament about. Just that there were alot to write and time was an issue. Many people never finish but I finished... =]Nevertheless, I am not expecting a A or even a A- because I really never did deliver good answers. Next up is AA306 the "OMG SO DIFFICULT SUBJECT THAT GIVES PEOPLE COLD FEET!" Haha... I am not worried for this subject because I got As for my mid term tests. =] But the one qualitative question for the exams is worrying though... need to read 6 academic journals just to get 20 odd marks. Tml will be the mugging day to earn the 20 odd marks. Haha... Alright... stop talking about studies lah.... Make people stressed only... hahaha... The following song is quite nice. =]

Met up for discussion and I felt better although I stiill feel unsettled about scoring. I have been perplexingly relaxed don't know why. Hopefully, I can score well for strag mag and make another history for myself. Qualitative papers have always been a bane to my GPA since year 1 with the exception of buisness law. So this sem, I hope I can prevent another qualitative paper from emerging as a bane to my GPA. Haha... Sings~~~ I believe I can fly~~~ Haha... Why sing this phrase? Cos I believe I can pass with flying colours for my strategic management. Haha... Okie going nuts. But actually strategic management is very very very very interesting. I like this area of study but I hate studying for it. Because sometimes studying such subjects hone your ability to think beyond the square matrices that you learn. It force you to think of theory vs reality. It makes you think of alot of things. And then you realize there are no definites in life. One minute you are shit the next minute you can become gold. It all depends on how you look at things. Sometimes, people chance upon a brown lump that resembles a piece of shit so they dismiss it. Never did they expect that it was actually gold covered with a thick layer of soil. Or maybe they suspect there is gold behind that brown lump, but they gave up after a few minutes of knocking and dismantling to find that its still a brown lump, in short lack of perservence. So people "open your eyes~~ don't say goodbye~~~" Sings. Haha... Craving for KTV. Some people booked me to go KTV with them after exams liaoz. Please register fast for your slots before its full! Anyways, yesterday my internet was down and I was suffering from the excruciating pain of been withdrawn from the internet. I couldn't do my daily actitvity of checking emails, disturbing people on msn when I am stressed and check on things that you cannot find in the textbook despite frustatingly flipping the pages a thousand times until the pages were going to be torn apart. Haha... So I slept early yesterday. Today, the new modem was delivered and the internet was back to normal. Now faster than ever! Wee~ The person was punctual! Haha... So now the modem is in cool white like iPod. Haha...

I was watching the 9pm show on Channel 8 just now and I realized that its actually a very touching drama serial. Its about AIDS patients. And they got discriminated. I feel that the show is a very good initiative by mediacorp to educate Singaporeans about AIDS and not to discriminate against them. In fact a more important message that the show brings across indirectly is for us to stop discriminating the aganist the minorities. In saying minorities I also include those that are not conforming to traditional social norms but are in fact perfectly fine human beings who have their own life and are special in their own ways. So ya... The show aptly illustrates the excruciating pain that is experienced by those who were discriminated. Its a very bad feeling and I feel that the actors portrayed the agony of being discriminated well enough. So people stop discriminating people against any thing, lets make this place a happier one. =]

Feeling sianz... and demoralized... Stragetic management is so difficult. Even though we are given a case beforehand, it is damn difficult to study. The case has very little relevance to the things we studied. "-_- Scared... Meeting my strag. mag. team members to discuss tml. Hopefully I see more light. Till then... I shall relax and go to sleep first...

Bored from all thos studying. 4 more chapters to go! Yawnz... This year's AB311 case is about Vodafone. It is a well known brand. =] I still remembered that during army days, me and Rihui were crazy over Vodafone versions of different handphones and some of those exotic japanese handphone models under Vodafone which is now under Softbank. Vodafone versions always offer additonal features and nicer designs. More often than not, its the Vodafone logo that makes the design look cool like how Apple's logo makes its products stand out. Haha... Successful differentiation strategy I guess. I used to own one Japanese version of Sony Ecrisson Z800i under Vodafone. Its white in colour while the Singapore versions only offered boring dull silver colour. haha... Recently or rather in recent years, Vodafone tried to enter Singapore market as M1 collaborated with the former to provide its customers with internet access. But it didn't seem like a very successful cooperative strategy. Haha... But Vodafone case really sparked my interest because I like the brand Vodafone. =]

Nevertheless, it seems like its a very hard case and the questions are gonna be different because lots of numbers are given. I am expecting lots of quantitative analysis when AB311 is supposed to be a qualitative kind of paper. Although I like quantitative analysis, nothing much along the lines of quantitaive analysis was taught during the course about it. Only one page was posted in edventure and it was not explained in class or lecture. During the review lecture, the lecturer suddenly hinted that slide is important and calculators is a definite tool you will be using during exams this time. So its a case of GG-ness... Haha...

Time to continue mugging... =]

Exams... No time... But still slack... haha... I have been revising things at snail pace. What makes it even more disturbing is I am perplexingly relaxed... chilled.... as cool as a cucumber... No signs of freaking out. Hmmzz... Someone motivate me! Haha... I guess its mainly due to some reasons which I dun tink I wan to say or rather I am too lazy to type lahz. Sometimes you just feel tired out of a sudden when you keep trying to do something well.

Anyways, today's AA301 valuation presentation went pretty well. I knew the floor got lots of questions like when I listened to theirs I had plenty too but nobody wanted to sabo anybody. So nobody asked anybody questions. Haha... Nevertheless, the tutor finally addressed my concerns about market risk premium. haha... At the start of the project, I asked people about market risk premium and people thought that I was stupid to ask such simple question. My concern back then was different stocks even though traded in the SAME Singapore stock market will have different market risk premium. True enough the tutor said YES... its true. And the reason... Haha.. I shall not say because if you tink deeper you will know why. I realized sometimes people who ask seemingly stupid questions could be smart but mistaken to be stupid (haha... like me...) simply because normal people although they are smart too they don't think deep enough.

And through the series of AA301 presentation, I realized most people once again although they are extremely smart and they get extremely high GPAs, they don't think much when they do analysis. I am not saying that I am very smart but the point is... You analyse but you do not state the end state. Many groups just said now we will do the industry analysis using porter's 5. Then they explain everything sui sui, all the point perfect with no flaws. Then next slide - accounting analysis. Where's the analysis? You say oh ... high threat of new entrant... yeah... low bargaining power fo supplier.... yeah.... Then? What's the end state from all these descriptions? Never say... Next slide... In any analysis, you must have an end state. Many people don't even know what's the rationale of doing the porter's 5. So the tutor frowned as these people went through motion. Many people also did financial analysis without comparing to anything. Okie... ROE increase by 10% from 2006 to 2007. WOW! The company is profitable. Its like... Eh... If i gain weight means I fat is it? Noo... I may gain weight but not fat wad. Ratios are relative. So the tutor frowned also. Hahaha... Jokes... Luckily my group... the tutor never frown so much. And some very smart people were confused by our accounting analysis when we said operating lease should be capitalized and they kept whispering eh wrong lahz... Haha... Go home and read textbook before making noises. So my conclusion is As and A+ doesn't mean you are smart. GPA 5 doesn't mean you are quite there yet if you just go through motion and don't think.

Okie.. I think I sounded very yaya papaya in this entry. But once again... I have to say I am not thinking that I am very smart but I just saw very obvious mistakes which people with high GPAs should not be forgiven for making such mistakes. Haha... Ya... Time to sleep...

Yesterday, I went to school early to submit the Big 4 application forms. So as I walked to the CAO which is on the top of the hill inside the SAC building, I took some photos.
