After Action Review of Devastation: Time to move on...
Many people asked on me when they knew that I was devastated yesterday. Thanks people like Denis, Candy and Yihui. It was because of the AA301 quiz. It was a total re-enactment of AA202 quiz last semester when I estimated the answers 90% of the time. The re-enactment was almost like the re-enactment of consolidation entries of parent and subsi. Haha... But the difference this time is its not because I didn't know how to do, its because I made a big assumption (PV factors were provided in last sem's quiz and so this sem it will be provided also) and didn't bring the textbook which weighed 3kg with all the pv factors inside and also forgot to bring the financial calculator. In the end, I couldn't do all the questions which required PV calculations. No doubt I borrowed the formula for PV factors from Michelle during the quiz, I didn't have enough time to calculate all the PVs for all the questions. And under the stress and using an unfamiliar method to do things, I freaked out and I only managed to do a few PV calculations. So... I felt devastated because I have never been such a failure in my life. This is the first quantittative accounting quiz that I am going to fail in my life. People who know me will know that I ace and top the class for all quantitative accounting quizzes with 80-90% from AA101, AA102 to taxation. This time the downfall just made me feel extra sianz because I cannot accept the fact that I LOST because of my own stupidity of not been able to exercise my knowledge and intelligence to do the quiz. Its like you are always at the top and suddenly you fell below the ground? The take home message is don't make assumptions. Alright enough said. I should study for my AA306 quiz and make sure I ace it like how i ace the "OMG SO DIFFICULT TAXATION QUIZZES". Haha... Thanks once again to all those who cared for me.
