School is starting tml!!! Sianz. Time flies... I saw all the course outlines. Omg! Its gonna be a xiong sem. Chants... I hope I can manage them well. Meanwhile, I think I must rest well on this final day of "freedom". Haha... Okie... yesterday went shopping with my sis and mum. haha... I bought quite some stuffs. I bought Zara tee, Cotton on boardshorts and Levis 605 pencil straight jeans. Total damage $180. Haha... Okie officially broke but the jeans and tee is like for new year. hahaha... As in chinese new year. Cos I am afraid once school starts I will start buying like alot of snacks to munch during my free periods and the money just disappear. I grabbed a copy of Today weekend yesterday and saw an article on IPPT for NSmen. Haha... The article said that the 2.4km run had unrealistic standards for NSmen. Like many want to break the 10minute barrier to get gold and in the attempt suddenly die on the spot as they push themselves over their physical limits. The article says that we cannot pretend that the death of some NSmen during their 2.4km run was conicidental - its the standard that is too hard to attain. The article suggests that the 2.4km run should be replaced with a long distance run (e.g. 5km) with a realistic timing to meet (e.g. 30min). My opinion on this is that the standard can be attained, BUT you need to ensure that your body can take the amount of stress that your mind gets your body to do. Many a times, people attain the 9.45min Gold standard timing for 2.4km not because they have muscles and great strength for their lower limbs; they have a certain level of strength but 85% of the victorious timing is "mind over body". However, if you do not have a certain degree of strength, exercising "mind over body" 100% can still give you a good timing of 9.45mins. But its gravely dangerous because your heart cannot take it and you may just... Ya... So I think the standard is standard for you to aim for, but you must know your own condition of your body before trying to attain a standard that your body cannot take it. Went gym in the morning. Haha... There were freaking alot of people. But I see some jokers who just went to the gym and stand around. Start working out peeps! Why you stand around? Model? Walau block my way lahz. And the worst is like they were playing with the machines and sitting on the machine chit chatting... like... er.... hello the machine is old and its gonna spoil... Other people wan to do quality workouts with the machine one can??? So they broke the flow of my workout like I cannot do supersets cos they were hoarding on to the machine doing nothing and when people asked erm are you using the machine? they were like yes yes... but they just sat there like a model. Haha... So the best is buy a dumbbell set at home man. You can do it at your own pace and no models to break your flow. Haha... But quite sad when I stand infront of the mirror, cos I am not growing any bigger still so skinny man. "-_- Alright, gonna like take a nap. Haha... Rest well before school kick start... Hahaa...
